This is one of the most powerful concepts that I can teach to anyone. This is one of the roots of complacency. You lack of empathy and vision as to how inmates see the world is a huge contributing factor to complacency. YOU think that because you would not do something, that and inmate would not do it either, YOU ARE WRONG ABOUT THAT!
